About SGI
St. George International School (SGI) is a dynamic, multilingual, and multicultural learning community serving children from 6 weeks old through 7th grade. As the only school in Louisiana offering a full trilingual immersion program in Spanish, French, and Chinese starting as early as infancy, SGI delivers a truly unparalleled educational experience that fosters global awareness from the very beginning.
Our unique curriculum blends immersive language instruction with academic rigor and rich cultural exploration. Through daily exposure, hands-on learning, and engaging real-world experiences, students don’t just study languages—they live them. This approach cultivates fluency, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding, preparing children to thrive in a globally connected world.

Our Journey
At St. George International School, our story is one of vision, resilience, and a deep commitment to multicultural, multilingual, and inclusive education.
Our journey began in August 2022, when a beloved language immersion school in the Baton Rouge area closed its doors unexpectedly. In response, a dedicated group of parents came together with a shared mission: to preserve and continue a unique, high-quality educational experience for children in our community. From that vision, Capital Renaissance International School (CRIS) was born.
In 2025, our school embraced a new chapter with a name change to St. George International School—a name that reflects both our location in the newly incorporated city of St. George, Louisiana, and our long-term commitment to serving families across East Baton Rouge Parish and beyond.
Established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational institution, our purpose is clear: to provide exceptional, accessible education that empowers students to become thoughtful, curious, and compassionate global citizens.
