St. George International School: A New Name, The Same Commitment to Excellence Starting 2025-26

St. George, La., June 1, 2025 — Capital Renaissance International School (CRIS), entering its fourth year, will be renamed St. George International School (SGI) beginning with the 2025-26 academic year. The new name better reflects the school’s location and its commitment to expanding educational options within the city of St. George and the greater East Baton Rouge Parish community.

Families and students can expect the same exceptional teachers, the same high-quality trilingual immersion curriculum, and the same steadfast dedication to academic excellence and global citizenship.

“Our new name honors the community we proudly serve and reaffirms our commitment to providing outstanding education,” said Emily Graham, SGI volunteer board member and mother of two. “We remain dedicated to empowering students through a rich, immersive learning experience that prepares them for success in an increasingly interconnected world.”

SGI is the only school in the region offering education to students as young as six weeks old in up to four languages: Spanish, French, Chinese, and English. This comprehensive curriculum is designed to foster cultural awareness and linguistic fluency from an early age. With a nurturing environment and experienced faculty, SGI delivers a unique educational experience that balances academic rigor with personal growth.

Families interested in learning more about the transition or enrolling for the 2025-26 school year are encouraged to visit the school’s website or contact the administration office at info@sgischool.org or 225-421-8303.
